Walking on the Golden Gate Brigde in San Francisco

Yesterday was the only beautiful sunny day with blue sky of the week, so I decided to go to the famous the Golden Gate Bridge. A must see in San Francisco. I took the cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and decided to walk along the Bay to the bridge. It's a beautiful 5 kilometers walk I did in 2 hours, stopping for coffee and off course taking pictures.

The Golden Gate Bridge by the numbers:
1937 Year the bridge was opened
1.7 miles (2.75 km) Total lengh
75 Age of the oldest person to tap dance across the bridge
38 Number of painters who work on the bridge continuously
220 feet (67 meters) clearance above water
1 Number of deer that have crossed the bridge using the FasTrack lane
4,200 feet (1280 meters) Length of main span
887,000 tons Total weight of the bridge

Now, some pictures!

drinking a coffee while looking at the bridge... perfect!

The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the world most amazing and beautiful bridges. It is such an iconic sign of San Francisco that it’s rigid to visualize a time when it didn’t be present. But before it was built the majority peoples thought it was an impossible mission.
